ProgramsWho We AreHistorySupport

The College Prep Program has successfully assisted hundreds of students in gaining entry to colleges and private preparatory schools through our intensive academic support services which include tutoring, writing workshops, career workshops, financial assistance and access to college trips.

College Prep Placement helps young people to define their post-secondary school goals and work toward achieving them. We help our students to learn about schools, admissions requirements, and potential career paths. Some students may hesitate to pursue their college dreams due to past educational experiences. We help these youths strengthen their skills and school records to become good candidates for admission. And once our students are placed, we help them adjust to their new school environment.

“The ‘dream education’ I am getting at Kent is something I would never have imagined in over a hundred years. And none of it would be possible without The DOME Project.”
— Donna-Marie Thompson, Kent '06, attending Howard University in Fall '06

Prep School Placement is for intermediate and high school students who may be struggling at home or in school. The program offers students the chance to move beyond past problems and excel in new school environments. We assist at-risk students to earn placement at independent preparatory schools throughout the Northeast.

“The DOME Project has been instrumental in my life and that of many youngsters in New York City. As a teenager growing up on the Upper West Side, The DOME provided me the opportunity to attend Phillips Exeter Academy through its Prep School Program. Many of our alumni have attended some of the finest universities and prep schools in the country.”
— Julio Peterson, DOME Board Member &
Director of Real Estate for the Schubert Organization
